Thank you to our judges...Theodore Walshesky and Tamara Woodrow.

the 2011 AKC Agility National today. It will be so much fun to have father and son entered at the same

National!

love most---running agility! We had a great weekend both on and off the course. Zelda earned one QQ

We made the long trek, in the usual cold weather, to Harrisburg for the OTCH's UKC Agility

running in the soft dirt of the horse arena ! (and we brought a good deal of it home with us) -

his Breed and Group win came under Judge Vincent Grosso. It was so nice to have so many club

members there to share in Marko's wins that day. We appreciated all your cheers as he showed his

little heart out in the Group and Best In Show rings. Out of retirement at 8 years old, Marko earned his

GCH title in just 9 Weekends. Enroute to the title he earned 3 Best Of Breeds, a Group 1, a Group 2,

five majors and six shows with defeated champions (two of those shows being from the Veterans

time record for her and for me. She went into the weekend needing 22 MACH points to qualify for the

2011 AKC Agility National, and I'm delighted that she qualified with points to spare. Geraldo had a

fabulous weekend in Zanesville too. He earned 50 MACH at that trial, and that was an all time high for

him as well. He just needs 235 more points for his MACH 2! I'm very excited about the fact that I'll be

taking two Chet kids to next year's AKC Agility National in Lexington, VA!

we went to North Olmsted where he earned a first place in Open Fast and a third in Novice Agility. Then

on October 22 he went to the Parkersburg Agility trial to finish his Open Jumpers title with a third place

handled him to a BOB over specials and then went on to win a Group 3! This completed his Grand

I am soooo proud of Quincy ! He passed his Delta Pet Partners evaluation today and is now the newest

Therapy dog in the Catydid family. We did the study course and then we had to travel to Youngstown

11/6/10 for the evaluations. They evaluate BOTH the handler and the dog ! I have to admit I was so

worried I'd mess it up for him (and saw the two dogs before us did not pass). They loved him and gave

him some nice complements. I have to give big thanks to everyone who helped with our training and

greeting skills. He is now U-AG I, URO 2 Homespun Quinlan's Crystal Blue Snow CL1-R, CL1-F,

CL1-H, CGC, DPP. Cathy Artis

Brags from the October 2010 Newsletter

Lynn Uram tells us that...On September 17, 2010, Rhonda Toren took Geraldo to Berryville, VA to compete in his first AKC herding trial, and she put two HT legs on him back to back. In conjunction with earning his HT, he also completed the requirements for his VCX. From this point forward, he'll officially be known as CH MACH CastleGate's Daily News XF, HT, CGC, CL2-R, CL2-S, CL2-F, HCT, VCX. To have a homebred CH MACH VCX is beyond my wildest dreams. There are no words to adequately thank Rhonda for the time and effort she put into training Geraldo. She rocks, and so does my baby boy!! <G> Every time that we ask Geraldo for more, he gives it to us!!

Elaine Kelvington tells us that…We are so excited! Sawyer aka CH Kelvington's Talisman CDX, RE, AXJ , AX, CGC, TDI got his final leg in HT at the Baltimore Shetland Sheepdog Club herding trial on Sept. 17th to give him his HT as well as his CH VCX title! That completed Sawyer's 17th title to date. We are estatic. Then today, he qualified in excellent jww at the Beaver Co. Agility trial to give him his 4th leg towards his Master's title. Sawyer has succeeded beyond my wildest imagination. What a guy. Solomon aka CH Kelvington's Once 'N A Blue Moon also qualified at the same trials to finish his HT title. He needs a few more titles and he will also have his CH VCX title. He is getting ready to show in rally and will soon have those final points too! As always, both dogs were breeder, owner handled. We are so proud of both of our boys. These titles fulfilled a goal we have wanted to complete ever since we began with shelties. Needless to say, we floated home from the trial.

Julie Iverson tells us that...I'm very excited! Calvin was in three different venues the past three weekends and succeeded in all! First we went to an agility trial on September 4th where he earned his first two open jumpers legs with 2 first places, the next weekend he went BOB over specials and Group 3 at Altoona under Katie Gammill and Charles Olvis and then on Friday 9/17 he earned his PT herding title. He truly is a versatile dog. He needs one more open jumpers leg to earn his VCX and he's only 2 years old. He is now BISS Am/Can Ch Homespun Casual Blues HT PT NAJ NF. Christy, his mother, was also very successful at the herding trial and earned her PT title. I see a VCX in her future also. With their herding titles this gives both of them their VC titles.

Rita & Wayne Slepcevich are happy to report that…at the BCKC agility trial on September 19th, Homespun Cubbie Blue RE "Addisyn", tried AKC Novice Jumpers for the second time, and qualified to earn her second leg with a perfect score 2nd place.

Lynn Uram tells us that...We had a great time at the Beaver County Kennel Club's agility trial on Neville Island in September. Zelda qualified on five of her six runs and picked up 63 MACH points to go along with her green ribbons. Those were QQ's #7 and #8 for her. It looks like she's got her post puppy mojo back!! Geraldo got home from the herding trial in VA at 10:00 p.m. on Friday night and walked into the agility ring the next morning (after six weeks away from home and agility classes) and QQ'ed too! He qualified on three of his four runs at the BCKC trial and came home with 36 MACH points. Getting an HT, a VCX, and a QQ in one weekend is going to be hard for Geraldo to top, but I'm sure he'll have fun trying!!

Terri Poirier reports a good weekend at the Greater St Louis Agility trial. Trevor earned another QQ giving him 31 QQ and now only needs 281 points left for his second MACH. Trevor was 3 for 6 on qualifying runs. Rachel also earned a QQ giving her 6 QQ and now 323 MACH points. Rachel was 4 for 6 on qualifying runs.

Cammi earned three 1st place finishes in Jww Exc B P 12". Dawson qualified in all six runs in Exc B 20" earning three double-Q’s and 110 MACH points. Bryce qualified in five of the six runs in Exc B 16". Bryce earned two 1st place finishes, two 2nd place finishes, one 3rd place finish and 177 MACH points. Most importantly, at this trail Bryce qualified for the AKC National Agility Championships. At the beginning of the year, our goal for Bryce, as a pup, was to just get into Exc B by the end of the year. Not only did he get past Novice, Open, Exc A and into Exc B, he double-Q’d six times in Exc B with over 512 MACH points. Bryce was able to accomplish his Novice, Open, and Exc A titles in six weekends of showing and in three weekends of showing in Exc B, Bryce qualified for the AKC Nationals Agility Championships. We are very proud of his accomplishments.

Rita & Wayne Slepcevich tell us that…At the WCOTC obedience trials on October 2-3 in Delmont, U-AGI Homespun Sweet Home Chicago CD, RE, AX, MXJ, OAP, MJP, NF, AG.I.J, NAC, NJC, OGC, RS-O, JS-O, GS-O, CL3-F, CL3-H, CL3-S, CGC, TDI "Hannah", and Homespun Cubbie Blue RE "Addisyn", each earned the first two legs of their Beginner Novice titles.

Sunday's score tied him for high-scoring sheltie of the trial!

Elaine Kelvington tells us that….At the Westmoreland Rally Trial on Oct. 1, Solomon aka CH Kelvington's Once 'N A Blue Moon HT qualified to get his first rally novice leg. Then on Oct. 2 he had a repeat performance to qualify again. This is his first endeavor into the world of obedience. I was very proud of him, he did a great job.

Elaine Kelvington tells us that...We just got an invitation via email for the 2010 Eukanuba National Championship at Long Beach, CA. Sony is eligible since she finished from the Bred by exhibitor class. I don't think she will have any hair to go, (due to having puppies) but it is exciting to be invited.

Shawn DeLion tells us that...Drummer, Homespun Royal Gold Keepin The Beat, won Winners Dog and Best of Winners on Sunday, September 26, at the Butler KC show for two points. I am so proud of my little black boy!

Diane Troese tells us that…Our new little blue girl who is not quite 4 monthes old, Silverado Deep Chill ~ Chilly (Ch Hillstone Deep Winter ex Virgo Silverado Wish Upon A Star) took Best Opposite Sex to Best In Match at the Detroit Specialty Match in September.

AND…At the Detroit Specialty (judge Sue Healy), Rondo's brother, BISS CH Patented Emprise Forevermore, "Everett", had blown so much coat with the new low protein diet he is now on that he was a real challange to groom (or maybe it was "not groom" since he had no coat to fluff). He was Select Dog for his third Grand Championship major, so just needs 10 singles to finish that title....at almost 13 years of age, I didn't think it would be possible since Katie and I are only showing him at specialties now, but maybe, just maybe......! Thanks Katie for handling him so beautifully.

He is now BISS Am/Can Ch Homespun Casual Blues HT NAJ NF.

Barb Westerman tells us that...I have an agility Grandma Brag! Gypsy's Make A Memory (aka "Jovi" or formally "Jovanni"), owned by Anne Uzczo, made his agility debut on Saturday, September 3rd, at the Cheswick, PA AKC agility trial. Jovi and Anne finished his Novice Jumpers (NAJ) title during the 3 day weekend, with two 2nd places! Friday, Jovi was tied for 1st place and they opted to do a runoff on the very difficult Excellent Jumpers course for the tie breaker. Jovi did a wonderful job on the course, but had one more fault that the other dog. Jovi is sired by my Seger (Gypsy's Night Moves) and the dam is my blue girl "Windi" (Karefree Gypsy Windi NA NAJ). This coming weekend, mother and son will both be running in Open Jumpers!

Diane Ambrose is happy to report that Damingo Pedal To The Metal, AX, MXJ, NF (Chase), completed two new titles this summer, Novice Fast and Master Jumpers. Running with Mary Martin and Elaine Mayowski, Chase qualified in Excellent Jumpers B on July 10th at the Blue Ridge Dog Training Club Trial to finish his MXJ. Our puppy, Samara won the bred by exhibitor class as well. Kiss, shown by Katie also won her class. It was neat that out of the 4 bitches in the winner's circle 3 were Kelvington's. Thank-you Debbie, Cindy and Katie. We really appreciated your help today. Samara was reserve winner's bitch at the St. Clairsville OH show on Saturday from the bred by exhibitor class.

News from Homespun and Julie Iverson...Christy visited Canada this July to seek her Canadian Championship with my good friend, Rachel Pratt. She succeeded beyond my expectation by not only going breed over specials but winning a group first from the classes. The next day she repeated her performance by going group one again over specials to become a new Champion. She then did a "threepeat" by winning yet another group one as a new special. What a wonderful weekend. She had finished her American Championship by going group one over specials in January. I guess she just likes to finish in grand style. She is now Am/Can Ch Homespun Silverlicious NAJ.

From Diane Troese, Emprise Shelties: Wynstar Audacious (Audrey) bred by Karen and Wayne Freed and co-owned by Brenda Fuller and Diane Troese was WB for a point at Painsville Ohio last month under Sandra Wolfskill.

Lynn Uram tells us that...On September 4th and 5th, Geraldo earned his HCT at an AHBA herding trial in Berryville, VA. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Rhonda Toren for training Geraldo and for showing him at that trial. Rhonda and Geraldo will be pursuing an AKC herding title soon. We're very excited about his first herding title!!

From Ginny Schultz...At the Admiral Perry Obedience Trials, Izzy (the darn bi-black designer dog) finished her Utility Title AND got her 1st UDX Leg AND got 15 OM points! Way to go IZ. We have learned a lot of different ways to help the less than confident dog work at her best, but we have much more to do to see just how far Izzy can go. Thanks Rusty for your support and belief in Izzy.

Legacies Baretta Bobcat "Bullet" attained his AKC championship on June 26th. He finished with three 4 point majors and a BOB over specials....did not go to the breed ring as his handler had to get home to whelp a bitch. Bullet is my second homebred champion and my favorite dog so he will be on the summer 2011 cover of Sheltie International, a promise I made to myself since he is the hardest dog I own to show. Many thanks to Rusty, Deb, and Linda for evaluating this boy for me as a puppy and helping me decide to keep him. His sister, Legacies Back In Black "Bibs", took a 3 point major reserve her first show out in over two years as she was home being a mom. The same day her son took his first 2 points!   Veronica Covatch

Legacies Back In Black, my very plain bi black girl who entertained everyone in Pitts. a few years ago at 11 months old with her over the top happy tail (and butt) wagging, is now back out in the ring. She picked up a 3 point major reserve her first show out and on July 3 rd took WB / BOS for her first AKC points. Yes...she is still wagging that tail and kissing the judges!  Veronica Covatch

Brags from the June 2010 Newsletter

Lynn Uram tells us that...On May 20th, CastleGate's Seventh Heaven (Bliss) won Best of Breed from the Open AOAC Class under Jack Ireland in Marietta, Ohio.  That was Bliss' first BOB and our first homebred BOB, so it was an extra special win for us.  A huge thank you to Judy Stachowski for presenting Bliss so beautifully at this show!

Marko won the Veteran's Class all three days. But, on Memorial Day, Marko went on to take Best of Breed over top ranked professionally handled specials under judge Colonel Joe B. Purkhiser. Then to add icing to his birthday cake, Marko went on to take a Group 2 under the same judge. In limited showing, this Best of Breed has brought his career total to 40 Best of Breeds. I received many nice compliments from the judge during the photo shoots, mainly the question as to why Marko is in a Veteran's Class and not being shown as a Special. Marko's Breeder and Co-Owner, Joanna Fortson was there to cheer him on and screamed the loudest, only to deafen some of the other club members that were there to cheer Marko on. It was so nice having a lot of the club members there to share in my special day with my "special boy" and cheer us on......Thank you. Marko who has been feeling left out, as I have been traveling with Justi to agility trials, showed his heart out even in the heat. I now understand the meaning of Marko's "true showmanship" and the old saying "you can take the dog out of the show, but you can't take the show out of the dog".

Lynn Uram tells us that...On March 26-28, 2010, Geraldo and I competed at the AKC Agility National in Tulsa, OK.  We had a blast, and we met so many wonderful people and their dogs.  This was our first Agility National, and we were delighted to qualify on two of our runs.  We had two other really nice runs where we were oh so close to qualifying too. Despite the fact that we never trial on dirt, Geraldo ran well for me in Tulsa, and I'm very proud of him!  He's such an awesome dog!!  Check out Geraldo's web page to see a photo of him competing at the National.

Terri Poirier reports a good weekend at the  recent Gateway Agility trial. Trevor earned his 20th QQ and now has 268 MACH points on his journey to MACH2. Rachel earned her first novice fast leg with a first place. She has also earned two more MXJ legs including a 4th place. She thus now has 8 MXJ legs and 95 MACH points. We are also experiencing table issues with the down right now that is killing us in standard.

Elaine Kelvington tell us that..."Sawyer" aka CH Kelvington's Talisman CDX,  RE, AX, AXJ, TDI, CGC qualified  in three of his runs at the Mountaineer trials  (April 10 and 11) this weekend.  His first time in Fast classes, he qualified on Saturday in Novice Fast with a 4th place.  On Sunday, he qualified in jww excellent  and also qualified in Novice Fast with a 1st place.

Bill Herbein writes -- While his 'brother' Trio was Double Q'ing in the regular agility classes at the Mountaineer Kennel Club trials in Morgantown, twelve year old Rondo -- the true brother of the infamous Everrett, was completing his Master Jumpers Preferred #5 with a third place finish.  As long as Rondo looks like he is smiling while competing he will continue to run in Jumpers with Weaves. Rondo is pleased that his niece, Justi, was in attendance at the trial to witness his title run.

Peter & Yvette Grandillo are proud to announce that… Cammi and Bryce competed at the Mountaineer Kennel Club agility trial in Morgantown over the weekend of April 10th and 11th.  Cammi competed in Excellent B Preferred for all four runs.  In all four runs, Cammi came in 1st place.  Bryce competed in Open for all four runs.  In all four runs, Bryce qualified with three 1st place finishes, and one 2nd place finish.  Given this is the first time Bryce competed in Open, we were thrilled with the results.  For those who are wondering why I don’t have any news for Dawson, Dawson was sidelined for the weekend after getting stitches removed from have a soft tissue mass that had to be removed (non-cancerous) from his leg.

Terri Poirier reports that during the past two weekends, Trevor and Rachel have made some progress with some qualifying runs. Rachel earned her first QQ and now has 6 MXJ legs, 2 MX legs and 75 MACH points. Trevor earned two more QQs and now has 19 QQs and 239 MACH points on his journey to MACH2.

Elaine Kelvington tells us that...Sawyer, aka CH Kelvington's Talisman CDX, RE, AX, AXJ, CGC, TDI got a Master's Standard leg at the Puli Agility Trial, Zanesville, OH on Saturday, March 6, 2010.  That makes his 4th towards his title.

Pete & Yvette Grandillo Jr. are very proud to announce that…  Cammi, Dawson, and Bryce competed at the Puli Club of America agility trial in Zanesville, Ohio over the first weekend in March.  It was a new facility that none of the dogs had ever competed on.  Furthermore, this was only Bryce’s second agility trial, and yet another new surface, equipment, sights, sounds, etc.  Bryce overcame the new environment with a 1st place finish in Nov B Jumpers and a 1st place finish in Nov B Standard.  These qualifying runs earned him both his Novice Jumpers Title and his Novice Standard Title.  Cammi responded by earning four qualifying 1st place finishes in Exc B P Jumpers and Exc A P Standard.  Dawson couldn’t let anyone do any better than him.  Dawson competing in Exc B Jww / Standard qualified in all four runs with a 4th in Standard and a 3rd in Jumpers (out of 38 entries).  For the entire family, 10 qualifying runs out of 12 earned the kids another McDonalds.  The two hour trip home, not a peep was to be heard, only rapid paw movement from their dreams, and an occasional whimper in their doggie dreams.

Pete & Peggy Grandillo Sr. are very proud to announce that… Molly competed at the Splash N Dash TDAA agility trial the last weekend in February.  For the entire weekend, Molly had 9 runs (5 in standard and 4 in games).  Of the 9 runs, Molly qualified in 6 runs.  In Games on Saturday, Molly qualified and earned two 2nd Place finishes, one in CopyCat and one in Bowling.  This also earned Molly her Games TG1 title.  Also on Saturday, Molly had three standard runs in Beginner’s Agility.  Molly earned two 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish resulting in her Beginner’s Agility Title.  In Games on Sunday, Molly moved-up into TG2 or Intermediate Games and continued her success with Chutes & Ladders and Football.  In both, Molly qualified with 1st place finishes.  Also on Sunday, in Intermediate Standard Agility, Molly did not qualify in either run, but did well enough to earn a 2nd and 3rd place finish.  Molly is so strutting her accomplishments in front of Cammi, Dawson, and Bryce (her fur cousins).

To be continued… Bryce and Molly get to compete head-to-head in AKC Open Agility Standard and Jumpers in their next trial.  There will be no living with the winner!

Lynn Uram tells us that...On March 14th at the Butler Dog Training Club's agility trial in Edinboro, PA, Zelda finished her MX title with a glorious Standard run!! I expect her in season any day now, and I'm thrilled that she finished her MX and her MXJ prior to taking time off for motherhood.  Zelda also earned her first Master FAST leg with a third placement at that trial.   I hope someday that Zelda follows in her litter brother's footsteps and becomes a dual champion too!

Lynn Uram tells us that...On March 6, 2010, at the Puli Club's agility trial in Zanesville, OH, Geraldo became CH MACH CastleGate's Daily News OF.  It's truly a dream come true for me to have a homebred dual champion.  Geraldo has been my pride and joy from the moment he was born, and he's a joy to live with and to train.  We went into that trial weekend needing just three points to finish our agility championship, and Geraldo got down to business on our first run of the weekend and put those three points (plus a few points to spare) to bed quickly.  I had been anticipating that moment for such a long time, and it felt even better than I thought it would!!    When Geraldo and I first started agility three years ago, he was a green agility dog, and I was a novice agility handler as well.  Geraldo has been very forgiving of my many mistakes on the journey to our MACH, and I love him dearly for his patience and his perseverance.  He is my "do it all" dog, and I'm looking forward to doing some herding and some obedience work with him in the future.   If you see an unidentified object floating around in the sky anytime soon, it's probably me still floating around on my Happy Cloud!!

Marlana Tice reports that...At the Butler Dog Training Association trial at Edinboro on March 13th, Emprise Just Three Wishes, AXJ, OA, CD, "Justi" earned her 5th MXJ Leg with a 4th place finish and 10 MACH points.  Then she earned her 1st Excellent Standard Leg with a first place finish and 18 seconds under time.  The following weekend at the Youngstown All Breed Training Club/Westmoreland County Obedience Club trials at Washingtonville, OH, Justi earned 3 more MXJ legs and 29 more MACH points.  She also completed her Excellent Standard Title (AX) with 2 more 1st place legs averaging 20 seconds under time on the standard course.  Justi has 8 MXJ legs with 125 MACH points.  I look forward to her standard legs now counting toward MACH points and Double Q's !!!!

Veronica Covatch tells us that...Legacies Baretta Bobact ....... Bullet took a 4 point major reserve on 1-30-10, another reserve on 2-19-10, then a 4 point major win on 2-20-10, all under breeder judges! Handled expertly by Sheila Monks. With two pointed daughters from a litter of three pups we look forward to this being a good year for this beautiful boy and his girls!

My blue merle girl- Annika- has completed her Therapy dog observations and now has her therapy dog certification through Therapy Dogs Incorporated. She has her CGC and TDInc. She is doing very well and loves it. I'm so proud of her. She is busy now doing visits, obedience, Rally and agility. Proud mom-Nancy Grebur

Brags from the January 2010 Newsletter

Lynn Uram tells us that...After five weeks off from trialing and training classes, I was expecting our first agility trial of 2010 to be a free for all.  Geraldo and Zelda were raring to go, and we had a fantastic weekend both in and out of the agility ring at the Erie Kennel Club's trial in snowy Edinboro, PA. Zelda earned 2 QQ's, 2 MX legs, and 65 MACH points this weekend.  She was fast and focused on every run, and she Q'ed on five of her six runs.  My Baby Girl now has 4 QQ's and 200 MACH points.  Geraldo earned 28 MACH points, one QQ, his second Excellent Fast leg and his first ever Triple Q at that trial!! He just needs 59 more points for his MACH.  <G>

AND...At the BCSA agility trial in Edinboro, PA on January 15-17, Geraldo and Zelda had another nice weekend!  Zelda earned 29 MACH points, her 5th QQ, and her second Excellent FAST leg (with a first placement).  Geraldo picked up 24 MACH points and his 31st QQ.  We're in the homestretch for Geraldo's MACH!!  He just needs 35 more MACH points now!!

AND...At the APOTC Agility Trial in Edinboro, PA on January 22-24, Zelda finished her Excellent FAST (XF) title, earned her 6th MX leg, and picked up 17 additional MACH points.  Although Geraldo and I weren't running in sync that weekend, we did still manage to shave an additional 10 points off of what he needs to finish his MACH---25 more points to go!  <G>

Peter & Yvette Grandillo Jr. are VERY proud to announce: (Picture to right) Suntera Bryce Grandillo, call name Bryce, made his debut at the Altoona Area Kennel Association agility trial on January 23rd and 24th at the Penn State Ag Center.  This was an especially difficult debut because Bryce had only run on grass or rubber matting whereas the Ag Center was packed dirt and saw dust.  Plus, the Ag Center offered all new sites and smells.  While waiting in line for Bryce’s first run, Bryce watched each dog intently before him like he always does as a spectator.  Then, to Bryce’s surprise, it was show time.  You could tell, that despite the warm-ups, Bryce thought it was only training time and/or spectator time.  Little did he know that he was going to compete.  Bryce, with all the enthusiasm of a 21 month old puppy roared off the start line and around the course in under 26 seconds.  All the stress of an agility first run was over in fewer than 26 resulting in a score of 90 and a 2nd place finish.  Bryce went on to finish the trial with 4 qualifying runs out of 4.  Bryce earned two 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes.  What a great first weekend for the little guy.  You better believe Bryce is letting Cammi and Dawson (his older siblings) know that he started off better than they did! Bryce even made sure he got a bigger piece of ice cream than his siblings during treat time at the PSU Creamery.  Then again, I don’t think anyone expected Bryce to try to take such a big chunk.  (The sight of seeing him get chilled by the ice cream was hilarious!  Whiskers shivered and all).  Thanks for reading…

And… Suntera Cammi Grandillo, call name Cammi, also competed at the same trial as Bryce above.  Cammi earned four 1st place finishes in Open P Std, Exc A P Std, Exc A P Jww, and Exc B P Jww.  Cammi also earned title in Open P Standard and Exc A P titles.

And… Suntera Dawson Grandillo, call name Dawson, also competed at the same trial as Bryce and Cammi above.  Dawson did extremely well earning two 1st place finishes, one in Exc B Standard and one in Exc B Jww.  Dawson also earned a 2nd place finish in Exc B Jww.  For the entire weekend, the Cammi, Dawson, and Bryce went 11 for 12, placing in each round that they ran.  Thanks for reading…

Marlana Tice reports that...Emprise Just Three Wishes, AXJ, OA, CD, "Justi" earned her Open Standard Agility Title on 1/9/10 at the Erie Kennel Club Trial in Edinboro with a Clean 1st Place run and 20 Seconds under time.  Then on 1/23/10, in Edinboro, Justi earned her 4th MXJ leg with a 2nd Place finish and 19 more MACH points.

Julie Iverson tells us that...Homespun has been busy the last 2 months.  In December at the Cleveland Specialty Calvin took the breed and then went on to take a Group 2.  His new title is BISS Am/Can Ch Homespun Casual Blues.  He then went to Hamburg Jan 15, 16 and 17th and was BOB all three days.  His mother Christy was WB and BOB on Jan 17 to bring her up to 11 points and both majors.  This past weekend, at West Friendship, MD, Christy was WB/BOS and BOB over specials to earn 2 more points with Calvin going BOS.  The next day Christy again was WB/BOW and BOB over specials to finish and then went on to win a Group 1 for 4 points!  Calvin was BOS again.  Sunday the roles were reversed and Calvin was BOB and Christy was BOS.  It was a clean sweep weekend for the mother and son team.  Christy and Calvin were beautifully presented by Katie Grohowalski.  Christy won her first 5 point specialty major with Lindsay Spitznogle.  You girls are just awesome.  Thank you for everything you've done.  Christy is now Ch Homespun Allspice Silverlicious NAJ.

From Maureen and Lindsay Spitznogle:  Anistar Shelties is thrilled to be able to report a very successful weekend January 15, 16, and 17 for our puppy, Anistar Vince Lombardi.  Heath was Winners Dog at the Kennel Club of Buffalo show on Friday under Judge Walter Sommerfelt, Winners Dog and Best of Winners on Saturday under Breeder Judge Janet Turnage Nahikian and Winners Dog and Best of Winners again on Sunday under Judge Chris Walkowicz all from the 9 to 12 month puppy class ! Our Super Bowl puppy is off to a wonderful start and we are so excited about his future.

AND...Today at the Erie Kennel Club show, under Judge Marieann Gladstone, Anistar Vince Lombardi - Heath - was Winners Dog for his fourth point in as many shows. Heath is two days shy of his first birthday !

From Diane Ambrose and Joanna Fortson:  We are excited to report that Damingo Lock and Load, NAJ (Locke), was Winners Dog and Best of Winners for two points under Judge Lester Mapes at the Rubber City Kennel Club Show on January 10th.  Locke was, as usual, expertly handled by the love of his life, Marlana Tice.  Locke now only needs a major to finish!!
