The Three Rivers Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater Pittsburgh (TRSSCGP) began in l989 with 15 sheltie owners. Today we have grown to 100 members. Members include residents of Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina & Virginia. The Club is composed of members who are actively involved in Conformation, Agility, Obedience, Rally and Herding and also pet enthusiasts.

The purpose of the club is to:

- Share the pleasures of owning Shelties	- Improve the breed through informed and responsible breeding
- Provide information about responsible dog ownership	- Share current information on health issues
- Share grooming skills	- Provide AKC sanctioned specialty shows
- Participate in pet and community activities	- Assist newcomers with all aspects of the Sheltie fancy
- Participate in dog competitions (Sheltie Standard & Colors)
